Jordan and Peter Andre have called their new bundle of joy Princess Tiaamii (Tiaamii is a combination of their mothers’ names, Thea and Amy). “We love it because it’s unique, plus it means something special to us,” the couple chortled.
Poor child. No doubt Princess Tiaamii can look forward to years of schoolyard bullying, followed by an uphill struggle to be taken seriously as an adult with a name straight out of an Essex fairytale.
What is it with celebrity parents and ridiculous baby names? Don’t they realise that their children have to live in the real world, not in a celebrity bubble? What if Junior wants to be an accountant, doctor or lawyer? Anyone with a name like the ones on our list below would have a hard time getting past the first stage in a job application, let alone be taken seriously in a boardroom, operating theatre or courtroom!

Should celebrities think twice before they give ridiculous names to their non-celebrity children? Or do you enjoy hearing what the latest star has named their baby? Let me know what you think by leaving a comment below. And please add to my list of crazy baby names if you can!
I think that Moses is a lovely name, my son has a biblical name too. Micah. His middle name is Christian. I think that a lot of these celebrity names are really daft, but so are some from the general public. I used to know a family with the surname Lugg, who deliberately called their children Stephen and Penelope (Slugg and Plugg) and have also heard of an essex girl called Sharday, who called her daughter Dayshar. I do think however that a carefully chosen slightly unique name (my daughter is called Roisin, Irish for Rose) can make a difference especially when they are at school, as it can be confusing if your child is called say Michael, and there are three others. They will never know who is being shouted for or at! As many people have said, you can always shorten it. As she is still young, my daughter is referred to as Rosie most of the time, and a lot of people don\’t even know what her real name is. Although it is always a positive reaction when they find out!
I love unusual names…ive have three children, two boys Sawyer-Jack, Landon and my little girl is called Mila-James.
Sadly, it\’s not just celebrities who have given their kids crazy names!
My parents have always told me of two families they knew that gave thier kids terrible names:
1. family name of Hogg – named their twin girls Ima and Ura.
2. Family name of Tree – named their kids: Douglas Fir, Mary Christmas, and Weeping Willow.
I feel for anyone with strange names!
A friend of a friend called his daughter Marijuana ( needless to say she was a late 60\’s baby) Poor girl now goes by the name of Marianne and who can blame here but I do feel sorry for her when she shows her passport at the airports
There are some cruel people out there but I can\’t talk i have 3 daughters. Its not the fact that there names are unusual Meredyth is quite common now, Kennedy and Tennessee but i kinnda went to town on the middle names too not the fact that their unusual but i gave Kennedy 3 middle names and Tennessee 4 respectivley. Ok so the\’ll hate me at exam time when the clock starts by the time they finish there names the timewill be over!
I love unusual names at least they will be remembered at interviews.
my friends surname is SNUTCH.Her first name is SOONIE,her brothers are called DIAN and SMILER……..yes there really is a SMILER SNUTCH in the UK.
I agree with everyone else who has already expressed opinions on here, a lot of those names are pretty silly (I am being gentle with my words) but a few are quite unique and pretty. To add to the list, Madonna and Guy Ritchie: Lourdes (not guy ritchie\’s daughter) and Rocco. When it comes to my name, my mum wanted to call me Lucy but my dad wanted to call me Charlotte that way he can call me Charlie girl; my dads names is Charles and he got what he wanted. My brothers name is Luke, although he was going to be called Cody but ended up as a luke instead. Im happy with my name, except when I have fights with my dad and he dares call me charlie girl when he is mad at me, I much prefer it when he calls me charlie girl and he is in a good mood.
Hey ya!!!! I think ur blog is cool… It really DOES make u wonder where celebs get there ideas of child names from… Its not as if they themselves have hidious names, so why should they have the right to do it to there own children?!!!!!!!!!!!
Nat xXx xXx
This really is nothing new. In the past they named kids with actual adjectives like Forceful and created the name as they felt like it. The meanings of names were known not like now where they are basically meaningless. Victoria is acceptable though if you tried to name the child Victory now, people will look at you like you weirdo when that\’s the actual meaning of the word! It was created, you had victoria in a war, so you name your child Victoria. Nothing about it. You wanted your child to be strong, so you call him Strong. You want him to be a warrior, so you called him Sword. Margaret comes from Margaritari which actually means Pearl in Greek. Try calling someone Emerald now and ipeople will be a bit confused. The names that we have actually mean somehting, though if you tried to name your kid what the name actually meant you will be mocked. Aspasia, Augusta, Imogen were popular names in Victorian times (they were more creative it seems with names) names that will be mocked now as weird. We are actually more conservative with names, I don\’t understand the sheer numbers of John Smiths existing in this world. Why???
And the Native American names, they are created as well, Running Bull, etc, if you tried to name the kid Floating Feather now, it would be weirdo.
Check out Puritan names like Humanity, Truth, Zeal-of-the-land, Joy-again, Learn-Wysdome, Hate-Evil, Continent, and Wrestling (actual names http://rjg42.tripod.com/puritan_names.htm) and people wouldn\’t bat an eyelid then. but these days everybody is so cookie cutter, any deviance from the norm is teased and mocked. What really is so terrible about Apple and Moses? If there\’s Jacob (biblical name) and Daisy (plant name) why not these two, cause that\’s just the way it is, don\’t ask why. No
It must be because in English people are so used to taking names from other languages, they\’ve gotten out of the habit of actually using a word in their own language, and names have no immediate meanings. That was not the norm. In Spanish an emerald is esmeralda which is actually a name as well, but you can\’t call a person Emerald in English. Spanish also has Dolores (means pains literally), Angustias (anguish literally),Soledad (loneliness literally).
So chill people, it\’s a long and time honored tradition, not modern at all.
my grandmother told me a story about a guy she knew at school that was named William Dripps, but was nicknamed Willie or Willy (either is still bad) so this guy has lived for about 80 years as Willy Dripps.
You don\’t need to make up weird names, there are plenty which already exist. Like Mildred or Ethel, Agnes or Tarquin. Ezekiel, Gedeliah, Gideon, Elfreda, the list is endless!
Just a thought: when Cher called one of her kids Chastity, someone asked her "what if she grows up to be a slut?". "Well," said Cher, "it\’ll be a joke, then". If that is the attitude you take to naming a kid, what does it say for your parenting ethos?
Last thought: not too many girls called Myra in the UK since 1963.
hi , i would just like to say that im all for unusual names but there is the fact that these children have to put up with a lot of aggro when they start school even in the private schools they will be going to . i am the mother of six and as you can imagine i had a lot of fun choosing names , my youngest is called Elijah and it really suits him

i have 3 children, I wanted their names to be unique but not somethingthat they could be bullied with. Alexis Ann (Lexie), Liberty Marie (Libby) and Taigan Daneil (Tay). When they are in school at least they know when they are being spoken to because they are names that are rare and dont sound silly. I couldnt imagine myself shouting some ofthe names that celebs have called their children. They are nice but not what you would call your child, show dogs maybe.
No one has my name that i know off and my lil sis is Demmi lea but that is more common i like the name tillisha Danielle
I am into unusual names too.
When I have kids, if I have a girl I want her to be called roxy-elise or tiffany-anne. [i like double barreled names].
and for a boy i like lewis-lee.
we\’re missionaries out here in the philippines and wierd names is something we\’ve really gotten used to.. apple honey sweet heart princess dong bong dodo etc are all usual here.. the best one i ever heard though is this.. my pals were rushing an aeta (native tribal) lady down the mountain to deliver her baby in the local nearby hospital as this one seemed to be taking a long time compared to the other 10. next thing they knew a bouncing baby girl was born right there on the back seat.. "you can take me back now said the mum to the couple" so half way back up the mountain they asked her what she\’d name the girl.. well she said, i think i\’ll name her after this car cause thats where she was delivered.. PAJERO is now a happy healthy 2 yr old!! thank goodness they weren\’t driving a hummer!!
My name\’s Icy and I hate it!What were my parents thinking?"it\’s Christmas, let\’s call our baby Icy!"Disaster. And I don\’t even know why my middle name\’s Kaftanne. As someone with a stupid name, I make a plea to any expectant parents out there, \’DON\’T DO IT TO YOUR CHILD!\’ They will only hate you for it.Princess Tiaamii?Get out of here- you are ridiculous.
Great names there!
I love unusual names and can see nothing wrong with naming a child with an unusual name. If gthe child hates it that much when they grow up they can always change it legally or just by correcting people to a new one.
I have 2 children. My daughter is called Loren Jade – not so unusual now but was when she was born and my son is called Blade Connor. If anyone else knows of a Blade then please let me know! As far as I know he is about the only one. He certainly takes after his name as he is a sharp as a knife and pretty cutting when he want to be aswell!
I am one of 5 Kids and we all have original names.
Madden, Corben, Thalisa (Me), Allegra and Jorja
I have carried on this tradition as i have just had a baby. i decided to call her Darla Thalisa West.
I will admit growing up with an unusual name was annoying, forever having to spell my name but i\’m glad i dont have aa run of the mill name because my name makes me stand out. but my older brother madden isnt so keen on his name, i dont think he would change it but he is always moaning so when his wife had her little boy he made a point of calling him a really orginary name, he is Charles William West.
If you dont like your name…you can also change it.
Unusual names are a good thing to a certain level, when you cross that okay level into silliness and have names that people in the real world could\’t admit to having.
My 3 year old daughter is called Fifi Caitlyn Niamh, we just call her Fifi, she loves it and it suits her and alot of people tell me its cute.
My husband\’s name is Kent – he hates it! He made sure our children had \’normal\’ names. His sister is called Jane so what happened with his name?!

Unusual names should have limitations. Registrars should refuse to put ridiculous names on Birth Certificates! lolMy Daughter has an unusual name (Elise) which is spanish and means "gift from god".. After yrs of fertility treament, and then falling pregnant naturally I thought it was more appropriate! ALTHOUGH!.. she quite often gets called ELSIE! ffsHad she have been a boy she would have been called Ethan. There are lots of pretty names that are unusual without being ridiculous… like ahem.. PRINCESS TIAAMII heaven help the poor little might!
hi i think names should be vetted a friend of mine has 2 younger sisters there names are zed-thirteen and serendipity i prsonally think they should have been taken off there parents and re-named the eldest of the two is 9 years old and how she gets treated at school is horrid and that includes the teachers
Our three lovely children have all got unusual names – Tiwalade (Tiwa) 8, and the twins 3, Tiaraoluwa (Tiara) and Theodoro (Theo). We collectively called them the 3T\’s.
Femi
i think that celebs are cruel for givind their children wierd names!! they all have normal names like katie, peter victoria david etc. fair play to Mylenne class (as much as she is annoying being on every tv channel at the mo!) for giving her daughter a normal name!!
iya i wud just like 2 say that i am a kid of four an we all have normal names like jayde (me), laura , tasha , an jayson an these ar enormal names but sum of the names menchined like peaches an all these old names i think the names shud be left alone like eaches on a peach shud be called dat i mean cum on
anywayz sum of the celebz names like cruz romeo an dat ithink r ok
Oh dear. Didn\’t you just know the poor baby\’s name was going to be as "chavish" as its parents. Now just wait for the pink and fluffy bad-taste christening which is bound to follow. What role models that poor child has to look up to. Dad is a perma-tanned and talentless singer whilst Mum is a pink, perma-tanned, pneumatic Barbie Doll look-a-like.
From David
I think that the Princess thing is taking it a bit too far and she will prob be in for all sorts of ridicule when she gets to secondary school..thats assuming she doesnt prick her finger and sleep for a 100 years!!
I like it if they have if the baby a name with some history (e.g. a family name) or if it is a name with a meaning, but some names are just pointless like Apple and Zowie. What kind of future do these parents think their children will have because I can\’t imagine having to conduct an interview with someone called Apple!
There is a fine line between an unusual name, and a ridiculous name, an unusual name is something unique and classy, stick a Princess on the front and it soon becomes a ridiculous name.
I have a normal name, although it\’s not as common as the Emmas, Sophies Charlottes and Victorias, of whom there were three each in my year. People have nick-named me, (see the screen name) but I couldn\’t imagine being a Princess or a Fifi Trixibelle. I think it stereotypes you, and even if you change your name, you know inside what you\’re really called, and as your name is part of your identity, you must see yourself as your name – the personification of it, to some extent. So if you\’re called something ridiculous, surely it would influence how you saw yourself and conducted yourself? And being called Pixie when you\’re menopausal won\’t be fun.
who knows why people give their kids wierd names but it\’s up to them isn\’t it? If it is for publicity it\’s worked hasn\’t it coz we\’re all talking about them! I have 2 boys, Ethan and Jack, not named that to be "normal" but coz i like the names. Let\’s be honest, when these kids grow up there\’s always deed poll.xx
This is a true story :
I was in process of enrolling a new (and very embarrassed) pupil at my school
"What is her full name?"
"Dawn Desire" came the answer.
"Do you mean \’Dawn Desiree\’ perhaps?"
"No! Dawn desire she was and so Dawn Desire we named her!"
well personally i tink sum of da names are stupid but i lyk da way jordan and peter dun tiaamii but nt 2 keen on princess
xx mwah xx
I like some unusual names but not to the point of god awfulness and ridiculousness.I remember reading an article about Laurence-Llewelynn-Bowen\’s children and how not only have they got really rubbish names but also Geri Halliwell\’s with Bluebell Madonna and Melanie Blatt(ex-All Saints)with Lillyella, like that\’s not going to get your backside kicked and Madonna and Britney Spears have some awful kid names with the exception of Madonna\’s girl Lourdes. Two of my friends have both boys who have not only surnames but christian names as one is called Logan James and the other is called McKenzie,they\’re not bad but not even I would go that far.My cousins have called their children Tyler,Harley and Kane-sound good but a little bit too drastic and why go for the whole US thing of picking really bad names. One of my cousins changed her name to Rainbow Sky before changing it back to her original name because we all took the mess.My sister had two children with reasonably normal names like Yazmine and Owen even though she had to contend with her daughter\’s alternative names and her middle names as she was going to call her either Pegasus or Pagan, that would have been fun but I\’m glad they didn\’t come to be.I for one won\’t be giving my children any idiotic names although my father had ideas of names to give me-then you have the likes of Myleene Klass and Emma Bunton who give their children decent names like Beau and Ava,that to me is the sign of people who know what they\’re doing.Even if you give children a really bad name or change the spelling they can either change their name by deedpoll or be referred to as something else and let\’s hope to god that they have their parents either locked up or sectioned!.

I used to know a Savannah- she was in my class at primary school.
Out of all of those names, Michael Jackson\’s and Bob Geldof\’s kids are the worst. Jacko\’s been and gone and named all his kids after himself (poor things), and who on earth lumbers a kid with a name like Heavenly Hiranii Tiger Lily?
i think it is cruel some of these celebrity name, how they feel there different frm everyone else so there kids names shud be the same. personally i dont think anna nicole smiths little girls name – dannielynn is that bad. i think it is really cute. i think the worst \’celebrity baby names\’ are the ones frm jamie and jules oliver. i think they are horrible and cruel. and apple is really bad name for a kid. jordan and peter- it was a nice idea 2 have a mix of ur mothers names in a name 4 a kid bt why add princess to it? it is so bad.
Unique names can be special but you do have to draw the line somewhere. I have a friend wh ois a boy and is called Apple and his twin sister is called Shadow and when the first started secondry school they both got bullied terribly.
i think what katie an peter have called their little \’princess\’ is lovely. i love unique names an dont see why it should matter what you call a child as its their personality that should matter not a name. i do agree that some people take it to far i know someone who called their child lilly pond. but it is the 21st centery not in 18th i say bring it on, an i cant wait to see what charlotte church an gavin henshaw call their baby.
It doesn\’t matter what you name your child, it will nearly always be shortened by friends? I feel for the child learning to write some of the names. Mind you, I think some of the names are a bit over the top. But! if you want your child to have a unusual name then at least find one that isn\’t too weird.
I agree that some of these names are a little silly and children these days get enough bullying at school but even with a \’normal\’ name leighann i have still been called Lil by everyone since a young age just because i prefer it but i always know that i can be called my real name in a more formal situation. however my family has some really unusual name : Strawberry, Latitia, Jordan-leigh (girl) delilah, montana, bonnie-blu the list is endless but it cant be as bad as 50cent callin his son Bow-Ty now that cruel.
Although I would never name my kids Princess Tiaamii or Paris Michael, I wouldn\’t mind naming them something rare/unique–so long as it\’s not chavvy, like Chardonnay (I do actually know a girl called that). I quite like Dannielynn actually, it\’s pretty cute.
Some of those names ARE really ridiculous, but I\’ve noticed that you\’ve included some pretty–no, VERY normal names, like Daniel and Willow. There\’s nothing really wrong with Autumn either–why did you include those names? They\’re FINE, and proof that not all celebs are desperate to name their precious babies Apple Pixie Radish Diamond.
I grew up with a very unusual name – first middle & last – my first name was easy to turn into an insult and was a nightmare in school. I now use a modified version of my middle name, but very old friends & family still call me by first name. When I hear it I cringe!
oh my days… poor kids. thank god they are able to change their names themselves but have to wait 18 years to do so & problem is its those first years that are the worst as they have to go through school…. GOOD LUCK KIDS!!!!!!!
Truth is..these kids arent going to live normal lives, go to normal schools, i\’ve never heard from Peaches Geldof that she was bullied..and thats because she didnt live a normal "kid" life. I intend to call my children something unique, not quite sure what yet, but i want it to be VERY different. I do agree that the princess thing was too much with Katie and Pete, but the Tiamii bit was brilliant. Children don\’t only get bullied because of their names, but because of their hair colour weight or just because the bully\’s bored. At least if you give your child a special and individual name, you can tell them why..because they are special, because they are individual, and because they should stand out from the crowd. My partner has a irish name, irishlly spelt too, and he was neevr bullied, people love it! A name is a name, its the person behind the name that counts.
Stupid Stupid Stupid. What do these celebrities think will do to them by giving rediculous names to their kids?
i\’d say some were decent like "Savannah, Jaden, Eden, Jett" but pleeease names such as "Ocean True Autumn" u mite aswell name all children under the calender month, i.e. if baby number 1 was born in April name the child April.
Overated "Princess". If these kids grow up with sense, they would get their names changed. I agree, they will have a hard time at school. Michale Jackson has named his 2 boys Prince Michael 1 Prince Michael 2?????– WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!
These kids will not be bullied, their parents are hugely successful actors/singers/models. If someone came to Willow or Jaden Smith and said \’you\’ve got stupid names\’ they can just say \’well my dad is Will Smith, don\’t mess with me!
Personaly, i find some of them some what ridiculose, how ever some of the ones are perfectly normal, I remmber bowie once saying in an interview for all the spelling of the name is zowie, it is intended to be said as zoe, although why not use the conventional version of it im not sure.
I don\’t know wat people are thinking
I\’d name by kid Blockhead, or Dave if it was a boy.
well its not really up to us is it, i mean look at the african tribal people, they name their children some really crazy things and would think that we do too so hey its a free world, im sure theres more to a child than its name..
I like some of the names clebs give give to their babys are ceative and unique like Fifi Trixibelle and Phoenix Chi but names such as Micheal Jacksons Prince Micheal and Prince Micheal II are just showing up the celeb themselves for there oversized ego he may as well of named them one and two. Sure in real life the eldest son is often named aafter the father traditionaly but nameing all 3 just shows that children are classed as belongings. Also I think Jamie and Jools Oliver should have kown better to be calling your kid daisy boo is like saying you never reallised she was going to grow in anything other than a baby. I personaly I called my pet hamster Daisy which is were i think silly baby names like that belong.
I think that some of the names are pretty weird though a few are perfectly normal. Who would name their poor child after themselves though, like Prince Michael & Prince Michael II?! It\’s just vain and damn stupid! The celebs just want their kids names to be extra publicity for themselves, and for crying out loud, what sort of idiot names their child Betty Kitten or Daisy Boo!!!
Yeah it\’a true sum are weird, but i can\’t see any of those little one\’s needing to get a \’normal\’ job (unlike the rest of us!) But with all the fame and forturn why not make your child stand out, i\’m sure most of the kid\’s will fellow in thier parent\’s foot step\’s and go into the limelight aswell, even if they don\’t really chose to with name\’s like that they will stand out a mile!!!
I have to boy\’s myself and i thought Bayley was differnt until being in the hospital i found out 3 other babies were all named the same as my little boy, but i was the only one to have spell it different. But to me my boy\’s will alwasy\’s be special i dont feel i have to call them a weird name just to make them stand out!!!
PERSONALLY I THINK THAT IF YOU ARE A SUPERSTAR YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH NAMING YOUR KIDS WEIRD AND WONDERFULL NAMES,I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO CALL MY KIDS SOMETHING VERY DIFFERANT.AS IT IS I CHOSE GOOD OLD FASHIONED NAMES THAT ARE CONNECTED TO GREAT GRANDPARENTS.BUT I AM SURE THEY WILLL HATE THEIR NAMES AS THEY GET OLDER,DONT WE ALL???
I THINK THAT PEOPLE WHO CALL THEIR KIDS VERY VERY CHAV NAMES OR MAKE UP STUPID NAMES OR CHANGE THE SPELLING OF ORIGINAL NAMES TO BE DIFFERANT DO THIS SO THEY GET COMMENTS LIKE"OOH THAT IS DIFFERENT WHERE DI YOU GET THAT FROM"WHEN MOST PEOPLE ARE THINKING WHAT A BLOODY AWFULL NAME,POOR KID!!!I THINK THAT MICHEAL JACKSONS CHILDREN WILL DEF CHANGE THIR NAMES BUT MORE TO DO WITH WHO THEIR FATHER IS AND WHAT HE HAS DONE IN THE PAST,THAN THE EMBARESSMENT OF THE NAMES.
I THINK THE WORST NAME I EVER EVER HEARD IS LOREAL,NAMED THAT"BECAUSE SHE WAS WORTH IT"…… TERRIBLE!
Having a \’weird\’ name my self Bliss, I can see where people, who say silly names are unfair to the child, are coming from. However having a normal name can also be annoying. At school for example, were numerous amy\’s or katie\’s so they were always amy s or amy j according to their surname. So in that sense an unusual name is a plus. going to job interviews however isn\’t always that good, training to be a lawyer and the first thing they know about you is that your name is Bliss isn\’t the best start, but theres more to a person than a name and i think once people have got over the shock, they do look a little deeper. Also this is the only name you\’ve ever had so although you think \’\'oh id like a different name\’\’ so does every kid. Unless you are called moon unit, I think its a phase ever kid goes through, and after their teens, get over.
Speaking of \’weird\’ names apart from me, theres Sparkle-Seventeen, her sister Sandy-Lou Sunshine and a bloke called Ryce said \’\'rice\’\’ all at my office so i fit in rather well. lol.
HI I THINK SOME CELEB CAN GET AWAY WITH WHAT THEY CALL THERE BABIES BUT APPLE Y ITS NOT EVEN A PRETTY UNUSHAL NAME ???? ITS A FRUIT U WOULDNT CALL UR DAUGHTER PLUM /BANANA OR PEAR I AV A DAUGHTER CALLED GEORGIA -MAE BUT FRIENDS CALL HER G MY SONS NAME IS CASEY WHO IS 5 N HAS BEEN BULLIED ABOUT BEING CALLED CASEY-JAI AS CASEY IN HIS SCHOOL R ALL GIRLS SO HE NOW LIKES 2 B CALLED CJ N MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER IS CALLED SYDNEY -LlOREN WHO STARTS SCHOOL IN SEP SO WELL AV 2 C BUT PPL DO THINK SYDNEY IS A BOYS NAME I AV A FRIEND WHO CALLED HER DAUGHTER LOLA- LOLLIEPOP LOLAS FINE BUT LOLLIEPOP Y ???? BUT IF KIDS DONT LIKE THERE NAMES THEY SORTEN IT OR GET NICKNAMES SO DONT THINK THEY GET 2 BOTHERD BY IT UNTIL THERE MUM CALLS THEMNAME BUY THERE REAL IN 4 DINNER THEN THE CHILD BLUSHES DEEP RED LOL AHHH BLESS
i think tiaamii is an ok name but the princess spoils it its the way they have choose the name i think its sweet saves arguements lol;) but some celebs have horrible names for there childrenbut i agree they wont get bullied because they have famous parents.
well I worked with some kids called Jack Daniels (all one name) and Ikea…. They aren\’t even classy… I mean a cheap furniture shop as inspiration?? They weren\’t bullied about them because the other kids simply got used to it, but the kids themselves were well aware of how ridiculous they sounded. But I do think individual names are a good thing. Makes you stand out! just as long as they aren\’t plain ridiculous, and also as long as the parents aren\’t doing it so they get press for themselves… it sometimes comes across as its not the kid they are interested in but how it can boost their own name!
yeh i agree tha some of these names are silly but who in the right mind would take the mick out of them when their parents are huge superstars?!
Its not only celebrities who have tupid names. My brother has 5 kids and they all have stupid names. The kids hate their names so much that now they are expecting again the 8 year old has said he is naming the baby Daniel so that he can\’t get picked on. I work in a nursery and we have twin boys called LEVI and DENIM! Need I say more….
hello i like jaden, savannah, ocean thats different never heard of that 1 but non the less i like it,paris i like to,apple@moses fifi trixie well dont say no more about that, but like some1 as said if there parents r superstars then who will pick on them,
I think that \’unusual\’ names can be cute sometimes as they relate to that person, which gives them a special quality. If i had a daughter i would probably call her Ava, Keira, Kiara or Amelié, as i think they are pretty, girly names that arent too weird. And even though Jayden isn\’t my personal preference, i still think that it is an alright name that could suit a boy. Also my middle name is spelt weirdly and i dont like my first name but i just live with it, coz hey its only a name, not your personality!! So they arent that important, unless they are really stupid like Cupcake, Banana or Vanilla!!! Also they\’re original and Orlando Blooms\’ name isnt common, but hey hes good looking and really friendly, and hes doing fine in Celeb-land.
i feel sorry for those kids, i don\’t understand why these idiots think these names are any good. there\’s a reason why there\’s loads of kids called jack or amy or ben or emily etc is because they\’re good names and that\’s why they\’re popular. anyway, it\’s kind of like wayne and waynetta slob when they gave their kids stupid names "because it\’s exotic"… it\’s not exotic or original, it\’s just stupid!
I dont unnderstand my celebrities feel the need to give their children wierd and wonderful names! I have an unususal firstname myself but thankfully have a "normal" middle name so I use that instead. When I have children on my own they\’ll have very mainstream names!
I really think that celebrities are trying to out do each other when it comes to baby names…. They dont seem to think of the child when giving them such stupid names. What ever happened to simple name like Brian, Patrick, Chloe……. God help there children when they start school…..
Who cares? They can always change it by Deed-Poll when they are 18 anyway

my daughter is called jodie its more common now than it was when she was born and i heard all the stuff along the lines of what sort of names that ? never heard of it , ( nearly 19 years ago) i do feel sorry for children with daft names and it can be horrible enough trying to fit in when your parents are famous but to be saddeled with a stupid name as well! its almost as if these people think they are naming a pet
however i do agree that if the names are hated then they can at least change them by deed poll, the parents should be made to have a normal middle name if the first name is plain old stupid
i had a strange name growing up (sonia) and used to get really upset that i could never get a pen, door plaque, keyring etc.. with my name on, it wasn\’t untill senior school that i met another sonia, i have given both my children what i consider nice names i have 2 boys, one is joshua (josh) who is 12 and the other is ashley(ash) who is 10, they both have children in there school with the same name as them, and they can get all the keyrings etc they want with their names on them. i think that a lot of people give their children names to stand out with out realising that a lot of others are doing the same now and it won\’t be long before you will be hearing apple jones or apple smith beig called out in the same class.
hello i do suppose taimmi is lovely but take the princess away then thats not so bad,my daughter a ababy in december an she wants to name it either mason, harrison for a boy,and for a girl it either madison or kayleigh,i like all of them.what do u all think of them.
aren\’t junior and princess nicknames for children. Let them have a real name on thier certificate, and then you can add on the silly name. Why call your child junior?, let it have it\’s own name and identity.
my daughter is called melitta( pronounced mel-e- ta) its a maltease name, when i was pregnant with her i was thinking georgia or hayleigh but my brother suggested melitta and i really liked it coz its unusual. ppl throught her life have loved her name coz its pretty. it suits her too.
wasn\’t it frank zappa who called one of his kids moon unit? poor kid. still, it could be worse, a girl i used to know had a friend called journey free who had a younger sister called pretty butterfly. i used to work with a girl called mango. which i think was just mean of her parents.

Its a shame that all of these celebs are giving their children such names. Do they not know about bullying etc etc … but in saying that they will probabally never ever live in the real world as most do what with the private education, public schools and colleges, or private home tutoring, and no doubt all of their posh totty friends will most probabally have a weird and wonderful name too so they wont really stand out afterall. Its all very very sad!
IF THEY WEREN\’T FAMOUS WOULD THESE POOR CHILDREN STILL HAVE THESE UNUSUAL NAMES.I DON\’T THINK THEY REALISE WHAT TORMENT CHILDREN GO THROUGH ABOUT THEIR NAMES.MONEY CAN\’T PROTECT THEM.I SUPPOSE AT THE END OF THE DAY IT IS THEIR CHOICE
most of you guys are thick. learn grammer and spelling. and all those names mentioned are ways of getting attention. they are using their children for the good of evil! they must be stopped. wankers.
To "MyWingsAreBentForFlying",
I think you mean \’grammar\’, please use capital letters and dictionary.com if you\’re going to lecture others.
Thankyou,
The Spelling Police.
it is sad that these poor kids have to go through being bullied about having famouse parents without givung the bullies more ammunition. having said that I grew up with an unuasual name (siobhan) and it never did me any harm
hello every1,no 1 as been on for a couple of days, hope every1 is doing fine.HELLO
All the names are very pretty but they arent practical for a child who is going to have to grow up with it.
I think that they should all be given relatively normal first names and a more exotic middle name…or have an exotic nickname that people can call them by.
megan x x x
hiya every1,congratulations to charlotte church and gavin, but does anybody know what they have called there baby girl,
We are talking about Jordan and Peter Andre here so the name didn\’t suprise me at all. This is the same woman who had a very over the top wedding!
But I suppose as long as the wee one is healthy is the main thing.
She\’ll turn 14, become a Goth, hate her parents so she\’ll be a normal teenager! And when she\’s 18 she can change her name by dee-poll if she hates it tha much!
I just hope that she\’ll get the support from her parents if she gets bullied for it, after all it was them who chose it.
That name is so ridiculous but not at all surprising. Harvey and Junior are nice names. Poor little girl thats all I can say.
Hey…My sisters called Savannah…I happen to be very jealous of her because of that because she has had nothing but positive attention because of it.
i am doing media research on celebrities at the minute for a project and this is the second week in, taking my time as i want it to be a progress. ive got 6 months in total and i have done some intial research and focus groups and i have learnt that some peoples opinions are truely shocking. what makes people think they have the right to have their view on someone else child? its hard enough trying to live a normal life in the media let alone being taunted by people who think they know better. they have the right to choose whatever name they please, being famous may even balance out all the stupid narrow minded people that will find it so hard to stop themselves from saying \’oh my you must hate your name\’. when in fact the celebrities children would be much more fortunate to go to schools that dont have these narrow minded children in them. so they wouldnt get bullied because the people that bully are the people that cant understand anything apart from what they want or havent got. so leave them alone because i dont see how anyone can comment on something they have no relation to, or even spoke to. we see these people in magazine and on tv we cant possibly have a say on something thats so covered up. there is so much more to find out, but being obbssesed with the little things like they shouldnt name their kids that..is really just a way of making your lives sound much better if you can find fault with someone you desire to be like.

I think some of the names are really pretty, Ocean and Willow, but others are just plain stupid. I have grown up with an unusual name, Ava, and when i was younger i used to hate it. I\’m 14 now and i really like having an unusual name that no one else my age seems to have-so i think these kids will get over having stupid names. I\’d much rather have a unique name than a common name, even though Ava is becoming more and more popular this year.
